Birthday

Well how about this picture for my Birthday. I actually picked the place not knowing that they sang to you and put a hat on you. We had lots of fun and lots to eat. I had a really great Birthday. Embarassing but fun.

Ms. Piggy Tail

I just had to post this cute picture of Ms. Lilly. She is growing up so fast.
It's hard to believe that less than a year ago she appeared. What a cutie.

Lay Offs

It's hard when people you've worked with for years are all the sudden gone. They become your family and then they aren't there anymore to laugh and joke with. They will be greatly missed. I feel like I have a rock in the pit of my stomach. It will pass I know. I hope now I get to stay here for a little while longer.

Easter

This last weekend we loaded up the Dogs yes both of them, Andrea me and Dale and headed to Dublin Texas for a family get together. I was a little worried about taking the dogs but they did great. We laid down the back seat and I sat back there with them. They were good travelers. We met Chan, Thomas, Lilly and Millie at my parents house in Dublin. It was really nice to have the entire family together again. It has been a long time since we were all together at Easter. Of course we had the usual dog trying to eat the table food, and rain which made the dogs smell a little, and the small house was togetherness but it was really nice. We all got to see Lilly walking every where and talking a little. She is so cute and such a good girl. I hope everyone had a great Easter like we did. We came home to a hail storm and now Dale will be really busy for a while.

Blue Bonnets

Just had to share these wonderful pictures the kids took. Now these are a Kodak moment for sure. Now of course the flowers are beautiful but the extra's are just gorgeous.

Family

I have new pictures to post. I have to say Chan and Thomas camera does a fantastic job. So enjoy I know I did. Chan and Thomas took Lilly to the gardens yesterday and talk about wonderful pictures. Everytime we go or they go it's always something different to see and do. Wish we had this here.

Dallas Trip

We had a wonderful trip to Dallas last Saturday. Andrea and I headed out about 9 that morning and finally got there about 4 or after. It was a long trip but worth it to get to see the Chiu's. Ms. Lilly is a doll I have to say. She's walking some and just loves to read books. Sunday we got up and headed to the King Tut Exhibit. Man was it something. They had about 7 or more rooms with different things in them. It was like being back in Ancient Egypt. The things they made back then were amazing. Monday morning we had to get up at 5 to take Ms. Lilly to her ear appointment. They put her under so they could check her hearing, it was very stressful I have to say. She has perfect hearing on the left and partial on the right. Which we knew the right would be like that but it was nice to know she has some hearing on that side. Has to be a loud noise but she can hear it. Tuesday we just chilled out and relaxed all day. I think everyone was tired from the day before. I had a bed buddy the entire time we were there Milly the Westie took up with me and she was my bed buddy after that. They have 2 cats which I'd love to pet but I can't because of my allergies. Milly would keep them out of my room at night.
Wednesday we headed back home and I know both Andrea and I were sad to have to leave them. I love going to visit but I hate having to leave.

Allergies

I have to say this year has been the worst for me an my allergies. I think they started back in January and have finally settle down. I've had 3 visits to the Doctor and 3 Medicines. Which one I'm just now finishing up. Usually when I go to Dallas I get sick. But I hope that doesn't happen this time, I'm sure it's from Chan's cute Kitties. I have a new Nose spray Omnaris, and I'm trying that stuff you put on your nose. I didn't go on the car tour Dale did in February to Kerrville because of the cedars popping. Which I got worse anyway here. The winds have just blown and blown this year already. One time I thought the top of the house was coming off. At home I've been lightening the load and have gotten rid of tons of things, I have to say it really looks better! It's amazing what you accumulate over the years. How did we ever live in a smaller house? We just got the carpet cleaned and I bought an Oreck air purifier. We have one of them in the living room and one in the bedroom. I feel like I have a new house. Now if I can just get the dogs to wipe their paws when they come in.......

Spring Break

This Saturday Andrea and I will be headed to Dallas to spend a few days. I can't wait to see Ms. Lilly again. They are going to get her a BAHA head band that has a hearing aid in it. So Tuesday we have to go see the Doctor and she'll get her hearing tested. To do this they have to put her out which I know Chan will not like. So it's probably a good thing I'll be there. I know the last time Thomas had to take her because Chan couldn't do it. Lilly is such a cutie and has started to walk everywhere. She now also has 4 teeth. I love to listen to her on the phone gabbering. Some day maybe I'll actually get to have a conversation with her when I call.

Dogs Dogs Dogs

Well it's been a while since I've posted been busy with this and that. Life I guess. We have new dog tails. I already told you about the Ms. Pink Legs. Well seems Ms. Pink legs is a mouser. Came home from work found a huge mouse in the kitchen a little chewed but dead. I guess she played with it a while and then got bored of it. Then over the weekend the TV Remote walked out into the back yard and as it went lost a piece here and a piece there. So Monday I was off to Grande again. The girl said oh this time you went a year before needing a new one, $10 please. What naughty children I have!

Pink Legs

Well I went home at lunch to find a pink marker torn up all over my living room carpet. I asked Mr. Louie and Ms. Lila which one had a good ole time with the pink marker. Neither one fessed up so I cleaned it up of course now I have a pink colored carpet. Another Beagle present. I called Dale and told him and he was like well which one has a pink mouth. Now I hadn't thought to check that out. So I started looking at them and sure enough Lila has 2 pink legs. Now we know who the pink destroyer is. Ms. Lila Pink Legs.

New Year

Okay I've been lost for a while but I'm back. My kids are all gone back to work and school. So now my house will become very quiet. On the weekends when they all leave I usually have to get really busy so the quiet doesn't bother me. And I can't cry because my husband just wouldn't understand that. He likes to sit in his chair, turn on the TV, and go to sleep. Some how I can't do that. At least I know Chan is back in Dallas happy. But now Andrea on the other hand. She left today crying not wanting to go. I told her we're just to nice at home I guess. She has 4 more semesters left at ASU and then she'll be done. I don't know if I can make it or not. A mom hates to hear her child cry and know she's just not happy where she is. I don't really have an answer for this. I offered a puppy,a guinea pig and finally said if you don't get better I'll make you come home. I think after she gets there and settles back in she'll be great. She's only been there now for an hour. She's the President of Sigma Kappa this year WOW what an honor. I have a President in the family. She's a A&B student and taking 19 hours this semester. What a load that is. Most people take only 12. She's a beautiful young lady that all the ladies with boys at the car club try to fix up. They think she's perfect, loves old cars and football well UT that is, the red hair and blue eyes, 5'8", she's just so beautiful inside and out. She's kind of shy but some day her day will come and that fella will carry her off. Until that day I hope she knows we're here and we want her to be happy.

More Pictures

Chan and Thomas posted new pictures so I have to post them too. They have such a cute little one. I think she'll put them through their paces for sure. Before long she'll be walking then the fun will start. She's trying to say things and before long she'll be talking none stop. Of course they think she never will be she will.

In a few months Andrea will no longer be a teenager. Now that's really hard to believe. She'll be 20. Wow I'M SO OLD..... Time flies so fast anymore.

Merry Christmas

It was so nice to have everyone here for Christmas. My great bear, Andrea, Chantel, Thomas and Lilly were all here. We had a really wonderful Christmas. One with my Parents and then one at my house. The room was stacked high with presents. Everyone got lots of goodies that's for sure. Mr. Bear surprised me with some ear rings that you could see a mile away. I maybe afraid to wear them out in public. I always told him I wanted some like the football players wear well I think I got them. Christmas is a time of family and this one has been just a great one. And the best present wasn't under the tree it was having everyone here with me.

New Pictures

Some of these pictures are so cute. Louie just let Lila crawl all over him. He such a laid back dog. Last night I was laying on the couch just relaxing and he jumped up and sat there and looked at me I kept saying what. Then he starts pawing me. So I got up to see what he wanted. He then gets on my pillow that was on the couch and lays down and goes to sleep. I was up rooted by the dog. I guess that's what he wanted was his spot on the couch.

The Christmas tree ones were taken at the Turner House. I can only imagine what it was like in it's day.

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was the best. All my kids where here and we had a great time. We played with Lilly, went shopping, and toured the Turner Mansion. There is no other place like it at Christmas time. I think I'm about finished with all my shopping now. I'm just ready for the next 3 weeks to go by so the girls will be back for a few days. We had 2 birthdays to celebrate, Lilly turned 1 Nov 19 and Chan will be 27Dec 6th. So we had lots of cake to eat along with turkey, ham and pie's! Andrea also got a surprise a new 2008 Dodge Charger. It was lots of fun that's for sure. Then we had to celebrate a friends birthday at his place. So much food and so little time. And last but not least we had to get Millie dog in her Christmas hat!

Christmas Beagles

Okay I have to show off my Christmas Beagles. Lila didn't mind it so much but Louie hated it. Andrea did good buying the outfit I have to say. She also did the pictures. So now we have Christmas Beagles.

Life with Louie

Most dogs as you know don’t like baths. Louie now he will get in the shower if you make him but he’d prefer to be dirty. The other day I was going to take a bath and he was laying on his lion like he does. He has had this lion since he was 6 weeks old. It's like his moma, it's a big lion too. I said Louie you want to take a bath. He jumped and looked at me turning his head to the side. So I said come on let’s take a bath. He ran to the bedroom and waited on me. I went in the bathroom and kept telling him let's take a bath. He stood at the door looking at me. I started the water and you’ve never seen a dog run so fast. He was gone before I could turn around. I was laughing so hard. I went to look for him and there he was on top of Dale and looking at me like I was a crazy women. I don't think you could have pried him off of there. Dogs are a lot of trouble but they are so much fun.

Mountains

I don't have my pictures yet but when I get them I'll post them. We left Friday morning at 8:30 am. We had 6 cars on Friday. It was a nice trip up nothing went wrong. When you travel with old cars that's a great thing. We stopped in Seminole and then in Tatum. Lunch was in Roswell at Farley's. I have to say Roswell is an interesting place with all the Alien's around town. After lunch it was on to Ruidoso. We stopped at a road side Fruit Stand and got some really good jelly. We finally got to the hotel about 2:30 NM time. It was nice about 60 degrees and NO WIND! All of us went to eat which it ended up there were 28 of us. That was some crowd, one of the biggest we'd ever had up there. Saturday morning we all got up and headed to Cloud Croft for the Great Pumpkin Race. We shopped and rolled pumpkins down the hill. And yes I rolled one too. It was so much fun. I can't wait to get all the pictures. This time I didn't take them the guys did. So I got a break and just had fun. Saturday night we all walked across the street to Mountain Annie's, none of us had a clue what were in for but it was wonderful. We had a meal and then George Staerkel and his wife and a guitar player played for us for 2 hours. They were fantastic. George is the one that originally sang When the Lion Sleeps Tonight and he was awesome. He played 18 different instruments. We're tyring to get them to come here in May for a big car club Founders Tour. Sunday we all got up and headed home. It's fun to go but great to get home to my doggies.
