Dallas Trip

We had the best trip to Dallas last week. It was so nice to see Chan, Lilly and Thomas. We went shopping one day and shopped and shopped some more. I actually found 1 pair of shoes in my size....yep just one. We walked to the park down from their house and Lilly played on the slides there. It was really funny to see Chan slide down the tube slide with her, I think she was a little scared to slide with her. Then one day we went to the zoo and had a great time. I think I loved the giraffes the best. They were so big, tall and just so graceful. On the trip there we had a 2 hour traffic jam at six flags. Of course I had to go on Spring Break and I guess everyone else did too. Coming home wasn't to bad just about a 30 minutes traffic jam at the exit for the Ft Worth zoo. I'm glad we went to the Dallas zoo. I have to say I really think Dallas has a bigger zoo. Once they get the new part done for the elephants and giraffe I know they do. It was lots of walking. I loved every day and minute of it. And Andrea didn't get me lost this time.....she was a good navigator. Tucker traveled along with us too he is the traveling Westie.

Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The weather man finally got one right. It started snowing last night about midnight and continued on until after lunch today. It was so pretty waking up to so much snow. In West Texas we're just not use to snow. Lila was my measuring stick. She went out in the yard and it came up to her tummy, she looked like a dog with no legs, so when we went in the house I got the ruler out and measured her legs, to funny I know. She didn't like the snow and wouldn't go back out in it again. Of course I wanted a picture but she just wouldn't cooperate. Louie didn't seem to mind it though. I guess having long legs helps.

Fun Evening

After going to the Doctor yesterday and having my face blow torched well that's what it felt like anyway, I stayed home for the afternoon. Then last night I watched the Westminister Dog Show and Sadie the Scottie won she was so cute. Between that and the Olympics it was a good evening of TV watching with the Dogs.

This last week the Dallas kids got lots and snow and Lilly had her first Snow day and experience. I think she finally liked it.

Christmas 2009

It was a great Christmas I have to say. We all got way to much and promise to cut back next year. I see smaller presents in the future. It was so good to see Lilly, Chan and Thomas. We also had 4 dogs and 2 cats in the house. I loved having so many days off that's for sure. When Chan, Thomas and Lilly headed home their car was full the top. I don't think they could have gotten anything else in there. Andrea is still home and it's nice having her there. At least the house is not so quiet as it could be right now. Lilly keeps the house hopping with sounds and activity, with here there you never have a dull moment. She's a little live wire. After Millie the westie left the other 3 slept all day long. We had dogs running here and there all the time. I do love my Beagles though, and Tucker is so cute. Enjoy the pictures.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving at my house this year. Chan, Thomas, Lilly, Millie, Doodle, Pepper, Andrea, Tucker, mom and dad were all there. My turkey tried to not get done but it finally did. Next time Ranch House is the place to go for a turkey. But all in all it was a nice day. It's always nice to have the family together. Then we had 2 birthday parties. One for Lilly and one for Chan. Lilly was 2 on November 19th and Chan will be 28 WOW 28 on December 6th. Am I old or what.
When Chan got there I wasn't feeling well and neither was she. Sinus had struck again. Then Andrea got it then Dale. So we just all were sick at the same time at least we were all together for it I guess. We put up the tree and decorated it and Lilly had a great time with it. She's such a little doll and very hard headed already. She loves to paint and color. It's really been nice this year I've gotten to see her nearly every month since July. They'll be back in December around the 23rd then we get to have more fun playing.

It's hard to believe Lilly is 2 years old. Seems just like yesterday that I flew off to Dallas to see her being born. I have to admit it was scary and very stressful but something you don't get to see every day that's for sure. She popped out red and crying. What a bundle of love she is. I do have to say being a grand parent is a lot of fun. It's a lot more fun than being a parent. I never understood that until now I am one. I'm GG and Dale is Pop Pop and being GG is just fine with me. I get to hear her say that on the phone and it just brings smiles to me each and every time.

Monahans Car Show

Saturday at 7 we headed out for the Monahans Car Show. It was a beautiful day nice and cool and just wonderful. We ended up with 16 cars there from our car club. Which won us the big trophy for most club members from one club. Everyone in our club won either 1st or 2nd place. I came away with 1st for the Chevelle and 1st for the Mustang. I was totatlly surprised that's for sure. We have great friends with the car club and we enjoyed them all.

Labor Day Weekend

Well the weekend started out terrible, we were to go to a car show and Dale decided I didn't need to go, just he was going with everyone. Now I didn't understand what was going on that's for sure, but I was like okay. Of course I was mad and upset with him and cried when he left at 6:30 that morning to go. He knew it too. I went back to bed not understanding what was going on. At 9:15 Andrea got me up and I was still very upset. Bad mouthing him and all. Then at 9:30 I'm looking out the window and up drives Chan, Thomas, Lilly, Millie and the 2 cats. My horrible most wonderful husband now had called them and asked them to come for the weekend because I missed them so much. So my terrible weekend turned into the most wonderful weekend of all. And yes I had to call him and eat some crow.

Time

I've been Facebooking and not blogging these days. With Facebook I've found so many friends from the past. Plus I can see pictures of my grand daughter and kids. I have to say Andrea, Chan and I also play Farm Town. I know Farm Town. But it is lots of fun. I hope everyone has been well. We've had so much rain this week. The thunder and lightning shows have been great. Dale went to the Pate meet in Ft Worth last may and brought home a present. 73 Mustang Convertible. It's really nice. Chan and Lilly came to visit in July and we had a blast. I hated for them to leave. They also brought Andrea a new Puppy Tucker. It's been a busy summer.

New Things

Well it's been a busy couple of months. We had the bad hail storm in Midland and here came the work. Between my day job and my night job I'm exhausted. I know Dale is for sure. I think we need to hire him a helpler. Last month he took a break and went to the Pate Swap meet and bought me a new Mustang, well it's an old new mustang 73 convertible. Now I'm really car poor. The next new thing is Tucker Andrea's new baby. I can't wait to see him in person. He should be here next month when Chan and Lilly come to visit. Yes they'll be here for a week. Now how exciting is that. She loves to play with bubbles and she can say that word for sure now. She can moo like a cow, say babe, dog, mo, bubbles, how she's changed since I last saw her.

Kisses

Last night I got my first phone kiss from Ms. Lilly. It was so cute. She told me Night Night and Bye Bye. She can say Baby and dog. But the Kisses on the phone were the best I have to say. I'm glad she's starting to talk a little to me on the phone. Makes missing all them a little easier. But it was so cute hearing that little pop on the phone. Seems every day she is doing something new.

Birthday

Well how about this picture for my Birthday. I actually picked the place not knowing that they sang to you and put a hat on you. We had lots of fun and lots to eat. I had a really great Birthday. Embarassing but fun.

Ms. Piggy Tail

It's hard to believe that less than a year ago she appeared. What a cutie.

Lay Offs

It's hard when people you've worked with for years are all the sudden gone. They become your family and then they aren't there anymore to laugh and joke with. They will be greatly missed. I feel like I have a rock in the pit of my stomach. It will pass I know. I hope now I get to stay here for a little while longer.

Easter

This last weekend we loaded up the Dogs yes both of them, Andrea me and Dale and headed to Dublin Texas for a family get together. I was a little worried about taking the dogs but they did great. We laid down the back seat and I sat back there with them. They were good travelers. We met Chan, Thomas, Lilly and Millie at my parents house in Dublin. It was really nice to have the entire family together again. It has been a long time since we were all together at Easter. Of course we had the usual dog trying to eat the table food, and rain which made the dogs smell a little, and the small house was togetherness but it was really nice. We all got to see Lilly walking every where and talking a little. She is so cute and such a good girl. I hope everyone had a great Easter like we did. We came home to a hail storm and now Dale will be really busy for a while.
